Hearthstone
Got a phone and WiFi? Hearthstone doesn't care about ping — but a disconnection is an instant loss. PingAim keeps Hearthstone.exe on whichever interface has the cleanest path to Battle.net, so a WiFi blip during a ranked Battlegrounds game doesn't wipe your star progress.

Why ping matters in Hearthstone
Latency sensitivity LowPing has only a minor effect on gameplay.
Hearthstone is a turn-based card game with 60-75 second turn timers in constructed modes. A player has a full minute or more to consider and submit each action, making the actual moment of submission irrelevant at the sub-second precision that latency measures. Even 300ms ping does not cause any gameplay disadvantage in standard constructed or Arena modes. Battlegrounds mode has shorter drafting timers (~38-75 seconds per turn) and is slightly more time-pressured, but combat is still resolved deterministically server-side with no reaction-time component. The only real network concern in Hearthstone is disconnection — high packet loss causing connection drops mid-game. Ping itself, even at 500ms, does not affect card game outcomes.
About Hearthstonebackground, studio, esports scene
Hearthstone is a free-to-play online digital collectible card game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. Released in March 2014, it is set in the Warcraft universe and features heroes, spells, minions, and weapons drawn from that lore. Two players face off using 30-card decks, spending mana crystals each turn to play cards and summon minions in a bid to reduce the opponent's hero to zero health.
Built on the Unity engine and running entirely on Blizzard's Battle.net infrastructure, Hearthstone is fully server-authoritative — the game client only renders what the server dictates, and all game logic, rule enforcement, and valid-move generation happens server-side. This makes the game extremely cheat-resistant for card mechanics, though it means all play requires a live internet connection.
Hearthstone has expanded well beyond its original constructed format. Battlegrounds (2019) is an eight-player auto-battler mode and is currently the most-watched Hearthstone variant on Twitch. Twist, Arena, Duels, and Solo Adventures round out the game's modes. The game is available on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, with cross-platform play across all versions.
The game maintains an active competitive scene through the Masters Tour circuit and annual World Championship, with the 2024 edition featuring a $500,000 USD prize pool and expanded international participation. As of 2025, Hearthstone has over 100 million registered accounts historically, with approximately 2–3 million monthly active players.

PingAim detects Hearthstone automatically
No manual config. PingAim identifies Hearthstone by process name and routes it through your fastest connection using a kernel-level WFP driver.
When does PingAim help — and when doesn't it?
PingAim helps when...
- Phone on 5G tethering as a backup — PingAim keeps Hearthstone on the stable connection if primary WiFi drops
- WiFi and Ethernet both active — PingAim routes through whichever interface has less packet loss to Blizzard
- Preventing disconnections from background traffic saturation — game traffic gets dedicated interface
- Congested home network during family streaming hours — routes game traffic away from saturated WiFi
- Dual-WAN or office network — routes game through the reliable uplink
- Windows switching interfaces mid-match — PingAim locks Hearthstone to a specific adapter
- Battlegrounds mode where end-of-turn timeouts from disconnects cause automatic pass
Won't help when...
- Only one internet connection — Hearthstone ping is irrelevant and a single stable connection is fine
- Already on a stable connection with no packet loss — Hearthstone doesn't need low ping
- Standard ranked constructed — latency has zero effect on gameplay with turn timers
- Blizzard server outages or maintenance — routing cannot fix the server side
