Does PingAim work with Genshin Impact?
Yes. PingAim uses a WFP (Windows Filtering Platform) kernel driver to route GenshinImpact.exe traffic through your optimal network interface. This method is fully compatible with HoYoverse's ACE (HoYoProtect) anti-cheat — PingAim never touches game process memory, only routes network packets at the OS level.
Will I get banned for using PingAim with Genshin Impact?
No. PingAim operates at the Windows network stack level (WFP driver) and does not modify the game client, inject code, or interact with game memory. HoYoverse's anti-cheat targets memory manipulation and process injection — not network routing. Commercial network optimizers like ExitLag, WTFast, and GearUP Booster explicitly support Genshin Impact and have been used by millions of players without bans.
Why is my ping high in Genshin Impact even with fast internet?
Internet speed (bandwidth) and ping (latency) are different things. High ping is caused by the routing path between your PC and HoYoverse's servers, not your connection speed. If your ISP routes your traffic through inefficient paths — extra hops, congested links, or poor international peering — your ping will be high even on a gigabit connection. PingAim finds the most direct routing path for your game traffic.
What is good ping for Genshin Impact?
Under 100ms is excellent — most content feels perfectly responsive. 100-200ms is acceptable for most players, though co-op partners may appear to rubber-band and skill timing feels slightly delayed. Above 200ms causes noticeable issues: teleporting co-op partners, delayed skill effects, and difficulty with precise dodge timing in Spiral Abyss.
Why do my co-op partners keep teleporting?
Teleporting in co-op is caused by high ping — either yours or your partners'. Genshin Impact's co-op is server-authoritative: the server holds the true position of all players and periodically syncs it to all clients. When someone has high latency, their position updates arrive late and their character appears to jump. A more direct route to the regional HoYoverse server (and asking co-op partners to do the same) makes position updates arrive sooner, so the visual snap-back happens less often.
I'm in Southeast Asia but my Asia server ping is over 150ms. Is this normal?
Not necessarily. The Asia server is located in Tokyo, Japan — players in Japan and Korea typically get 10-40ms. From the Philippines, Indonesia, or Vietnam, 50-100ms is typical with good ISP routing. If you're getting 150ms+ from Southeast Asia, your ISP is likely routing traffic inefficiently. This is a common issue with Philippine ISPs (PLDT, Converge) and is exactly the type of routing problem that PingAim can improve.
