How to check your actual ping in The Forest
There is no built-in ping display in The Forest's default UI. Use Steam overlay (Shift+Tab) or check your system network diagnostics. Some dedicated servers show ping in their server status. No native in-game ping display — ping monitoring requires external tools or the Steam overlay
Steam overlay (Shift+Tab) shows connection status; for dedicated servers, net_graph or server console may show latency. The Forest does not have a native ping counter in the HUD.
If your actual ping is higher than our estimate, your ISP is routing The Forest traffic through a longer path than necessary. That gap is exactly what PingAim optimizes.
