Does PingAim work with Teamfight Tactics?
Yes. PingAim detects League of Legends.exe (the process TFT runs in) and routes its traffic through your optimal network interface using a WFP kernel driver. It is compatible with Riot Vanguard — PingAim operates at the Windows network filtering layer and does not interact with game process memory.
Does ping matter in TFT?
Less than in action games, but it still matters in two ways. In carousel rounds, all 8 players compete simultaneously to grab champions — high ping means you're slower to secure your pick. During the planning phase, connection spikes can cause your inputs (buying units, repositioning) to feel unresponsive. A stable 80ms or less is ideal; anything under 160ms is fully playable.
Will Vanguard ban me for using PingAim?
No. Vanguard targets memory manipulation, DLL injection, and cheat software — not network routing tools. PingAim uses Windows Filtering Platform (WFP), the same framework Windows Firewall uses. Network optimizers like ExitLag and WTFast are officially supported for TFT without bans.
Why is my TFT ping high even with fast internet?
Internet speed and ping are separate things. High ping is caused by the number and quality of network hops between your PC and Riot's servers. Even on a gigabit connection, if your ISP routes your packets through congested or inefficient paths, your ping will be high. PingAim and tools like ExitLag optimize the path from your PC to Riot's nearest network node.
TFT and LoL use the same exe — will PingAim optimize both?
Yes, both run under League of Legends.exe. PingAim will optimize network traffic for both LoL and TFT sessions whenever the process is active. There is no way to target one mode without the other, but this has no downside.
What is a good ping for TFT?
80ms or less is optimal. Under 160ms is fully playable for casual and ranked play. Above 200ms you may notice carousel round penalties and delayed planning phase inputs. Unlike competitive FPS games, TFT does not require sub-30ms ping for high-level play.
