Palworld FAQ — Ping, Servers, Network

Why is my Palworld ping so high on official servers? Does Palworld have anti-cheat?

Why is my Palworld ping so high on official servers?

Palworld's official servers are hosted in Japan (by Pocketpair and Tencent Cloud). If you're in North America or Europe, you're connecting across an ocean — expect 120–250ms baseline latency. This is a routing distance issue, not a game bug. Choosing a community server in your own region is the most direct fix. PingAim's value for the Japan-server case is dual-WAN interface separation: if your 5G phone happens to route across the Pacific better than your home ISP that night, PingAim sends Palworld traffic through 5G while everything else stays on home WiFi.

Does Palworld have anti-cheat?

At launch (January 2024), Palworld had no meaningful anti-cheat and its client-authoritative netcode made cheating easy. Since patch v0.3.7 (mid-2024), Pocketpair has added incremental server-side validation. There is no kernel-level anti-cheat (no EAC or BattlEye as of early 2026). Community servers can optionally install PalDefender for additional protection.

How many players can play Palworld on a dedicated server?

Up to 32 players on a dedicated server. The in-game co-op mode (hosted from one player's game client) supports up to 4 players. For larger groups, a dedicated server — either rented or self-hosted — is required. Official servers by Pocketpair also support up to 32 players.

Does PingAim work with Palworld?

Yes. Palworld has no kernel-level anti-cheat, so PingAim's WFP driver method works without any conflicts. PingAim intercepts your game's UDP traffic (port 8211) and routes it through an optimized path to your dedicated server. It works with official servers, community servers, and private dedicated servers alike.

Why does Palworld rubberband even on a good connection?

Rubberbanding in Palworld has two separate causes. If your ping is high (150ms+), your position updates arrive late and the server corrects your location. But rubberbanding also happens when the dedicated server's CPU is overloaded — when the server can't process AI, Pal spawns, and player inputs fast enough. In the second case, better routing won't help — the server itself is the bottleneck. Check the server's FPS/tick rate in the player list if your host exposes it.

What ports does Palworld use?

The primary game port is UDP 8211 (configurable in PalWorldSettings.ini). For server browser visibility on Steam, UDP 27015 is also required. RCON admin access uses TCP 25575 (optional). If you're connecting to a dedicated server and having trouble, ensure your router/firewall allows UDP 8211 outbound.

PingAim detects Palworld automatically

No manual config. PingAim identifies Palworld by process name and routes it through your fastest connection using a kernel-level WFP driver.
