Does PingAim work with Among Us?
Yes. PingAim uses a WFP (Windows Filtering Platform) kernel driver to route Among Us through your fastest available network connection — for example, phone 5G hotspot instead of your congested home line. Among Us has no kernel-level anti-cheat (no EAC, no BattlEye, no Vanguard), so PingAim works without any compatibility issues. It attaches to Among Us.exe and routes its UDP traffic on port 22023 through whichever interface provides a more stable path to the Innersloth server.
Why does Among Us rubber-band so much even on decent ping?
Rubber-banding in Among Us has two main causes: your ping to the server, and the stability of that ping (jitter). The game relays all player movement through Innersloth's servers — if your packets arrive late or out of order, other crewmates appear to jitter or teleport. Jitter (ping variation) is often the bigger problem — a connection that swings between 30ms and 150ms will look worse in-game than a steady 90ms. To check: if rubber-banding affects all other players equally, the server may be under load. If only some players rubber-band while others move smoothly, it is individual connection quality.
Which Among Us server region should I pick?
Pick the region geographically closest to you: North America for US/Canada/Mexico, Europe for EU and nearby regions, Asia for East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania. If you are in South America, the Middle East, Africa, or India, you have no ideal region — North America (Texas/California) is typically best for South America, Europe (Germany) for Middle East and North Africa, and Asia (Japan) for India and Southeast Asia, but expect elevated ping (100–250ms) regardless. Always test all three and compare lobby responsiveness.
Does Among Us have any anti-cheat that might block network tools?
No. Among Us does not use kernel-level anti-cheat software such as EasyAntiCheat or BattlEye. Innersloth uses server-side detection and account bans. This means network tools, VPNs, WFP drivers, and WinDivert all work with Among Us without triggering any bans or blocks. PingAim's WFP driver is fully compatible.
Why do I keep getting disconnected from Among Us lobbies?
Disconnections in Among Us are usually caused by: 1) Ping too high to the selected region — try switching to a closer region; 2) NAT type issues — Among Us requires a moderate or open NAT to establish and maintain UDP connections; 3) Packet loss on your network — a congested WiFi channel, a failing cable, or ISP congestion can drop UDP packets causing the server to time you out; 4) Innersloth server issues — check https://downdetector.com/status/among-us/ to rule out a server outage. The most common cause is selecting the wrong region or a temporarily congested ISP path.
How does Among Us networking work — is it P2P or server-based?
Online play in Among Us is entirely server-based. All player actions — movement, kills, tasks, votes — are routed through Innersloth's dedicated servers in North America, Europe, or Asia. Players do not connect directly to each other. Local network (LAN) play uses a P2P model where one player hosts, but this is only available on the same local network. This server-based architecture is why region selection matters: you are always connecting to Innersloth's servers, and your ping is directly determined by your geographic distance to those servers.
